Offline Marketing Can Work with Promoting Your Web Business
It all depends on your business, but creating an internet business will mean you have to do something offline such as marketing to existing clientele. Don't forget that you need to market your business offline as well.
Diversifying your business marketing is always a smart thing to do, and actually that is something many IM marketers fail to do. After all, just because someone doesn't spend lots of time online doesn't mean that he or she won't be interested in what you have to offer.
Participate in local business fairs, and you can find out about these fairs by calling or visiting your local chamber of commerce. Do not think that you have nothing to offer, but your business has to be accessible and in demand by local people. This is networking plus branding, and you are not there to sell but to be seen and meet people. If your products are digital in nature, then you can still have paper or cardboard displays of what your product is. One thing is that people may not be there to buy, and that is fine because you can still get contacts. Your market is all over the place, and that means it will be there where you live. Think about renting highly targeted lists and then sending out post cards. You do not want to buy the lists but rather rent them and be sure you do split test mailings. The reason so many like using post cards is due to the price, and you can setup different offers with different copy and the like. Just be sure you take a serious attitude about this because if not then you can waste your money. Avoid using the standard white card because you want to use colored post cards so they are noticed.
Don't be afraid to pick up the phone and start calling people, and that is how things were done so long ago. These days, it really matters a lot if you place a working phone number on your site so anyone can call you.
It all depends on what your niche is, but you can find ways to call people about it. All you really have to do is look in the SRDS which is Standard Rate and Data Sheet and you can get targeted lists with phone numbers. When you make cold calls, you want to be brief and just introduce yourself to them.
What is nice about offline marketing is there is room for creative thought. It doesn't have to be difficult, and it just needs to get done. It is always up to you as to how you want to market your business, but there is so much potential with offline marketing and money as well.
