Eclipse MDT/OCL

Ecore-aligned OCL parsing, evaluation and editing

The Eclipse MDT/OCL project provides an OCL implementation support Ecore (or EMOF) and UML meta-models. OCL queries and documents may be parsed and persisted. OCL constraints can be validated and OCL queries evaluated.

Recent improvements have made the OCL grammar and parser extensible for re-use by other languages such as QVT, and fully integrated the use of OCL expressions as Ecore validation constraints and operation bodies.

Two of the MDT/OCL committers are active members of the OMG OCL RTF (Revision Task Force). This encourages attempts to make Eclipse MDT/OCL proactively compliant with the OCL specification, and to resolve the many aspects of the OCL specification that are difficult to understand and sometimes impossible to realise.
