Predictive Maintenance and Conflict Handling
Predictive Maintenance is a promising maintenance strategy. Its idea is to foresee potential health changes in machines and repair/replace them shortly before they break down. Conflicts between production plan and reality may be better handled due to those health state predictions. Conventionally, human experts assess the state of machines and make predictions of the remaining life-time. However, what is missing is an automated remnant life prediction solution that well integrates with existing enterprise and shop floor systems.
Vision: A Generic Framework for Predictive Maintenance
Project Goals
PreCon aims at developing and prototyping a generic framework for predictive maintenance. This includes:- design of framework core components for predicting remnant machine life-time
- provision of failure prediction models as framework standard content
- possibility of integrating third party failure prediction models
- integration with existing enterprise and shop floor systems
- development of an integrated data model for manufacturing data
- design of a service-oriented architecture
